Kate Bautista

Artist

As an artist, Kate Bautista’s work reflects her vision of life through a spurge of colors. She is a self-taught artist who expresses her editorials about life, her ideology, and analogy of it through her unique creative approach. Her highest goal is to bring light and warmth, to make people ask and wonder, to convey that there is vibrancy within us in every story, and to inspire others to embrace who they are.

She is a multi-talented artist whose accomplishments extend beyond the realm of the visual arts. Born in Bataan and now residing in San Pedro Laguna, she has earned recognition as an NGO co-founder, a crowned Jewel of the Philippines Ambassadress in 2018, and a representative of the Philippines in the 2018 Miss Asia Awards held in Shanghai, China.

With an impressive Art portfolio, she has successfully captured the hearts of private and emerging collectors, who have welcomed her creations into their homes. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, she has managed to showcase her talent in several group exhibitions.

Bautista’s works reflect her personal experiences with societal expectations and objectification based on gender. Her art depicts the struggles women face in accepting their bodies and desires, and her artworks depict poses that represent submission to self, freedom, and raw emotions.

Through her art, Bautista inspires others to embrace their unique identities and to question societal norms. Her work reminds us that art can often make us feel things that we cannot express with words alone and that it has the power to inspire, hold a mirror to who we are, and help us feel understood.
